Greetings, I am Frank Creed. At least that's the name under which I write novels, and use online. My real name is Scott Morris and this is my blog. I'm a housecatter, Packer's fan, D&D player, and Old Earth Creationist. I was baptized and confirmed in the very conservative Lutheran Church Missouri Synod which is about as close to being Catholic as you can get while still being Protestant. I was born again in 1993 while reading books by Doctor of Theology Francis Schaeffer, and highly recommend The God Who is There, He is There and He is Not Silent, and How Shall We Then Live. In my first forty years on the planet I was a Young Earth Creationist because I didn't know about Old Earth Creationism. Back in my day Carbon Dating was all the rage but ran into accuracy issues when dealing with dates past tens of thousands of years. YEC theory still had life in it. But now we have things like potassium-argon dating and have been able to prove an old Earth age. Creation, God's first book, proves the word day in Genesis' creation week means age. Hebrew is a general language, and the word yom can mean a 12 hour period of daylight, 24 hours, or an age, as in back in my day. I spent nearly a year in Israel when I was 18, and know a little Hebrew. After being born in Chicago and growing up in its western suburbs, I vacationed in Wisconsin, lived in Indiana, and now live in BC Canada. I use a NKJV Interlinear Bible and a NIV study Bible. I feel a bit like Copernicus breaking the church’s Earth centered universe model. So that's me, how about you? Introduce yourself in the comments section, and I hope you join me on my OEC journey.

I just found Scott's blog. Very interesting! I used to be a deist not sure where I am right now.
I'm Lydia. Raised Lutheran, once in my late teens, I became a Seeker of Truth, and fell away from organized religion. I am currently studying the mystic's way--The Franciscan way of life through a class I am taking by Richard Rohr and The Center For Action And Contemplation. My beliefs now are mostly formed from NDEs--that we are all eternal souls, here by our own choosing, to experience Creation and possibly learn soul lessons. And I incorporate Christianity within that as well--but my beliefs there mirror Richard Rohr's. There are many ways to God, and God is the essence of all Creation.
Looking forward to participating here.
Cheers!
